Shepherd of the Hills Christian School is dedicated to: building relationships; excelling in academics; developing mentoring opportunities; and living scripture daily.

1.      Growing Disciples by helping each child grow into a mature follower of Jesus Christ.

Shepherd of the Hills Christian School assists parents in the training of their children for a lifetime of Christian faith (Proverbs 22:6).  Such faith of a child is precious to God (Luke 18:17), therefore Shepherd of the Hills teaches and mentors Christian faith in Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 3:14-15), empowering students to growing lives of discipleship (Matthew 28:19-20) as they “go and tell” others about Jesus Christ.

2.      Promoting Academic Excellence by encouraging each student to work to their full God-given potential.

Christians are told in Proverbs 23:12, Apply your heart to instruction and your ear to words of knowledge.  At Shepherd of the Hills Christian School, our professional teaching staff is devoted to instructing and mentoring each student.  Beginning with the achievement levels, each student is led through essential core subjects and electives to the highest possible achievement level, using the latest in technological tools to assist in their progress.

3.      Developing Character by guiding students toward becoming productive and responsible citizens within the community.

Shepherd of the Hills Christian School encourages strong faith in Jesus while loving our neighbors. Jesus’ words in Matthew 7:12 provide a basis for Christian character development leading to willing and joyful service: So whatever you wish others would do to you, do also for them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.  Further, our Lord Jesus speaks of a Christian’s attitude and actions towards others when He says, Truly I say to you, as you did it to the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me (Matthew 25:40).  These Biblical values guide our school in mentoring and encouraging our students.

4.      Strengthening Families by supporting parents in the education of their children.

Shepherd of the Hills Christian School recognizes the family as the “cradle” of all education and Christian faith formation.  Teaching and mentoring the Christian faith begins in the relationship between parents and children (Ephesians 6:1-4) and continues in the home (Deuteronomy 6:7) in the daily routines and vocations of life.  Shepherd of the Hills actively seeks and promotes a partnering relationship with parents, as subjects are taught in the context of Christian faith.
